I noticed that It’s been just over one year since Tie the Money Knot was launched. Happy Anniversary to TTMK! Or, maybe we could say Happy Birthday. Blog owners tend to call these milestones anniversaries, but they’re also birthdays. Whatever the case is, you get the idea: Tie the Money Knot has been around for over a year now!
Have to say, it’s been a pleasure to be running this blog over the last year. I started this as a second blog, one which I thought could be another outlet for my interest in writing about personal finance. The intent was to mix broad personal finance topics with a lot of posts on money and relationships. To that end, I’m happy about the number of posts that have been published and the discussions we’ve been able to have on a number of different important subjects.
The best part is the regular interaction with commenters who drop by periodically to chime in with their viewpoints. Without each of you, this blog wouldn’t be the same. You make these discussions really fun, and I truly enjoy getting your comments and views on these topics!
There have been 88 posts published to date. In terms of which ones I’ve particularly enjoyed, here is a sampling of them:
As far as what I’d like to add in Year 2, I’d say it’s getting reader stories. I’ve made a few attempts in Year 1 to ask for reader stories, but haven’t pursued it as much as I could have. Personally, I think that there are so many different ways that people do things, and so many different types of relationships, that people could benefit from reading reader stories about how they handle money and what questions they would have for fellow readers.
Anyway, once again I’d just like to say thanks for a helping to make this a fun first year for Tie the Money Knot!
